Nordic Shorts Expo

Minimalen established Nordic Shorts Expo in 2018 as an arena designed to help festivals and distributors discover upcoming short films and emerging filmmakers from across the Nordic countries. In essence, the festival already gathers a strong selection of outstanding Nordic shorts in competition — along with the welcome presence of many of their creators. Add to that a batch of films that have not yet been shown publicly.

The Expo initiative offers a range of straightforward, industry-focused activities, including:
• Special screenings – both in the cinema and online
• Networking events with food and drinks
• Ample opportunities for one-on-one meetings between filmmakers, international festivals and distributors
• Chances to experience the Norwegian winter and pristine nature at its finest, in and around Norway’s Viking-age capital.
